  • Its easy to do. But the only people who will have the tool is a proper old school bike shop. If your friendly with them, go in and ask to use it. Just screw it on following the existing threads and slowiy, gently work into the new area with several passes. Ive done it before, was no problem at all.

    Trying to cut a fresh thread where there is nothing to start from however, now that is horrible.
