Something's taken a chunk out of my carbon seat stays, and so I'm planning on making a claim on my Evans / JLT / Cycleguard insurance.
On the claims form, one of the questions is "Accidental / Malicious damage?", so I'll be putting Accidental. But then it asks who was responsible, and I don't know. Should I put "n/a"?
Anyway, my main question is what is likely to happen? Will they replace the entire bike? Or just the frame? Or give me money? Or vouchers?
When I insured the bike, I said it was worth £1k. Will this have any influence on how much they will pay out for a replacement, or will they go entirely on the recommendation of the bike shop that takes a look at the frame?
Bump!
