I'm probably on thin ice posting this, but the technology of the Cold War, and the V-bombers in particular, hold a grim fascination for me.
Handley Page Victor. Like something from Flash Gordon.

A very good April Fool hoax appeared on TV in East Anglia a few years ago to the effect that the US Air Force was testing stealth aircraft in the area, but as they were stealth you couldn't see them. Given how common it is to hear a noisy jet but not actually see it, especially if it's at low level, the story was a good one.
All the V-bombers had a whiff of Buck Rogers about them but the HP Victor had the most. Cooler by far than the Vulcan in my view.

The Victor does look good. Especially the cockpit and high swept wing design.
How is it Flash Gordon!? :o$

I love the heat colour warping on the titanium at the rear of these things.

Do you mean the heat tempering?

Yah, I think badly recoloured. Poor choice.
Yeah, that was a disgrace- they should have started with a clean sheet rather than throw money at a 50 year old design.
EDIT- and then bin it.
