Had some very good service from a couple of the big boys recently (ooer).
Firstly, I ordered a valve adaptor from Wiggle for the princely sum of £1, and it came with free first class delivery (arrived next morning) and a packet of haribo and an energy gel. I'm pretty sure they must have made a loss on that.
Any then I went to buy a Giro Savant helmet. It looked like an awesome helmet, and I knew Cycle Surgery did pricematch, and I'd seen it on Ribble for £40 - and according to the reviews it was already a bargain at the RRP of £60. I asked a guy (maybe a South African or a Kiwi?) in CycleSurgery Holborn to pricematch the Ribble price, and he looked it up online, only to find that it was actually out of stock on Ribble so didn't count. As I was considering whether to pay full price, he said he'd look online everywhere else to see if he could get a good price to match for me. Sure enough he found it for £37 somewhere and pricematched that. What a dude - completely unprompted, he saved me loads of money. Thanks.
