  • I have a passport holder (not a trum one), my complaint with it is simple: The passport must never be able to fall out when the holder is closed.

In 12 years the leather has softened with time and use, and now the passport could come out if it's upside down in my bag.

It's a passport holder, and passports are valuable when used (can't travel without one).

Sew the top left of the holder to prevent the passport ever coming out unless the holder is intentionally opened.

And yes, that means boarding cards can't now fit... so put a pocket for those.

Of the things I'm willing to lose, the passport isn't it. You can still fly without a boarding pass as the gate would fix it for you. Not true of a passport.

And sure, it won't fall out today, it's new, and snug. But think of 12 years of use and don't allow the passport to be at risk even in that time frame.
