not wrong to race anywhere
My comments to BMMF aside, it is wrong to race there (and almost anywhere in central London, given the traffic, traffic lights, pedestrians etc.).

I call bullshit on this one...
That seems to be inside the old victorian piano factory in camden
Previously the offices of our family business in the 1980s then the easyjet offices and now some architecture firm I believe.

Do you still move pianos Xander?

You really do come across as a know it all cunt some times.
If it is a genuine issue that you feel strongly about I would have thought a two mile round trip would be worth the effort.
Certainly more worthwhile than bitching about it to a small audience, most of whom have never ridden there anyway.
Anyway, this is all moot as I have flagged it, which is why it is down now.
You think flagging it is going to have any more effect than discussing it on a public (and popular) forum; a forum focused on cycling in the City in which this highly residential segment is situated? I have family who live near there, my kid plays there, and I've worked with vulnerable adults in the area too, so excuse me for wanting to comment, you tedious fuck.

I'm certain that flagging it will stop people from racing along it for the purpose of Strava rankings, because the KOM table has now been removed.
If your kid plays there I would have thought it would be all the more reason to ride up there. I agree with the substance of your comment, but found the triumphalist sign off that you had some how 'raised the issue' a meaningless but self congratulatory pat on your own back.

I think you confused triumphalism with resignation. Thanks for flagging it anyway.
-
• #184
you bastards stripped me of my title ?
-
• #185
I was going to take it from you anyway until I saw where it was. Because I'm petty like that.
-
• #186
I got a KOM today. Tailwind may have been a factor :)

Probably. Let's move on then.

Fucking link... ;)
BTW is there anyway of seeing other peoples achievements in total rather than just the last 4 shown on the profile page? Or do I have to pay for that?

Still waiting for your assault on Point Hill; you're all mouth and no trousers.
-
• #190
Are you still KOM on that?

ha!
-
• #192
No wonder. There are no hills in RP.
Double ha!

Ridden 11 times by one person and that person is me.
There's loads of segments around Blackheath but no-one ever goes up Point Hill.
-
• #194
Is that because it's hugely unpleasant?

• #195
starts emptying bag of heavy items
-
• #196
hah, it's on. If I wasn't going out tonight I'd do it on the way home. Tomorrow :)
-
• #197
Bollocks, I'll have to connect the brakes up on the proper bike now.
-
• #198
It's the shortest and so the steepest approach to the heath I think, and there are speed humps for added urgghh.
if you turn left into WestGrove Lane near top you can get a bit of wet cobbled wheelspin climbing action too

• #199
Beat me on Eglinton hill while you're there 6pt (won't be hard)

Will be doing it on shitxor fixed, but will give it a go.
The issue's been highlighted, so people might think a little more about their responsibilities. Children play around there, and appear from nowhere (including unsupervised children at weird times). There are also a lot of care-in-the-community casualties staggering around without full awareness of what they're doing, plus the residents can get very pissy and kick off, demanding the council stop *any *cyclists using it.
If you don't feel highlighting the issue enough constructive action to justify my moral standpoint, tell me, and I'll take the trip up there to log a ride and then flag it. Or just fuck off.
