My one man anti-RLJ campaign not going un-noticed then.
Pffft, get in the queue. :)
-
• #44554
Queue? Surely the correct action would be to push past both cyclists waiting at the lights and block their way?
-
• #44555
Well, now that you mention it, Andy ...

Someone spotted me just now as I was heading south along Peckham Rye Park. But I don't know who, and I didn't spot them back because it was gloomy.

Bring Me My Forum gliding past me as I struggled into the wind during Regents laps tonight

Annoying that. On a ride in Nottingham earlier I was struggling really quite early on and some other chap on a curly-wurly Pinarello breezed past with a chirpier than I'd liked 'Good afternoon', which caused me to wish him all manner of impending misfortune as he kept up his mocking but still no better than moderate pace.

^^Oh, hello. World of my own, trying to decide if I felt better having stuck an alternative stem from my parts box on the VN. I think I did, but will confirm after 100 miles on Sunday. #nottryingtobeeuroprojusthaveshortlegsandlongtorso
It *was *windy out there, wasn't it.

I gave a little whistle but figured you were in a bubble.
Fought the impulse to try and chase - actually managed to apply some discipline for once. Wind made it difficult to gauge perceived effort but numbers look about right.

Van Nic looks nice in the flesh btw...

The cornering suddenly got very confidence inspiring. It wasn't bad before, but I just carved some totally fucking bilious high speed lines around Fitzrovia :)
Definitely need to keep on top of my stretching now though.

^see, my front wheel's so planted now, I can even push the playground slang envelope.

Police doing RLJ checks along Theobalds Road including the Bloomsbury One Way System. Also looked like they were doing immobilise tagging on Proctor Street, just by Red Lion Square.

HELLA headwind today. Everyone pissed off. Peds telling me not to stop my bike in the bus lane, because 'it's a crossing'. Van drivers trying to kill me. RLJ checks all the way down Dalston Kingsland Road. Miserable.

Eventful ride in this morning: a Dolan road bike in the middle of the road - junction of Shoreditch High Street/Hackney Road - rider was f-ing and blinding at someone who'd gone in the direction of Kingsland Rd, not sure what had happened, he looked ok but very angry. Then a guy got handcuffed by the police for going straight through at the end of Theobalds Road where only buses are supposed to go with those silly bike signs that mean 'no cyling' but look like it means only buses and bicycles. Don't they have bigger and worse crooks to catch and handcuff - like the van driver who tried to take me and several other cyclists out at the traffic lights at Holborn. And the wind was a bit**!

Haha! Christ, glad I'm not on my bike today. Definitely one of those days where it sends everyone loopy. Like when it rains hard and car drivers start driving even worse as if it's to be expected in the conditions, even though it's you who can't actually see because the rain is going directly into your eyes, not just onto your windscreen

Wow never noticed those signs I shoot through that bit all the time. You mean the bus lane that leads onto New Oxford st right?

Nicking cyclists for RLJing is a joke. Resources would be better spent apprehending drivers on phones.
Two incidents this morning and the same police officers I conversed with last week regarding van drivers using their phones warning me about filtering. I did ask them if they were able to multi task. This didn't go down well.
Me: Somewhere between W1 and SE27, close to tears because my knee hurts.
When: Soon.
