I would rather have JT as a player/manager than benitez
Tough job, his first act would be to clear out Cole, Malouda, Lukaku, Essien, Mikel, Drogba, Sturridge and Kalou (If he's stil even there)
Then threaten Torres about scoring with his wife if he doesn't on the pitch.
Perk of the job I guess

See Shearer at Newcastle for previous example

Koppites do you love him and will you "understand" when he trousers the wad?
He's done a hell of a lot for Liverpool and the community, he's very well thought of.
While I wouldn't like to see him manage cfc I can understand him want to get a job. Whether he gets given more than 3 months or not is a different story. He still hates Fergie though, so that's a plus for all concerned

Seriously though, how could anyone be angry at a former manager who does this:

Yeah there is no doubt that Benitez took Liverpool to his heart.
Would he be able to do the same with Chelsea? I guess he could start by watching episodes of 'This Way is Chelsea' -

The tight fucker gets a payoff of £6M and donates 96 large?
He should've dug a bit deeper and coughed up £960k!

i rate him as a manager not so much as a people person, he lost a few member of the dressing room while at liverpool and made some hasty sales ( although at the time i would have tried to get alonson out )
i am worried about him suceeding at chelseahe would be a good england manager
tactical genius and good in a knock out tourney, in one off games he does extremely well, not so good at a sustained challenge for the leagueLa Liga. Twice.
