  • ^ get the Kaffenback, nice bike (not biased)

  • Money is the issue. If I go the kaffenback route, full build will be maybe £600 if I manage to source second hand groupset parts. With the Trek, really all I need is a decent strong wheelset for £180.

  • Don't get me wrong, I'd love to go down the Kaffenback route ;)

  • ahh right as i said ive got the rolls for the rat but i wanted to test one of the concors out :D

  • Was the Concors a favourite of Lance?

  • I'll take £20 for the Brooks I posted on the previous page - I'd rather sell it within the Cov group than post it down to London.

  • Was the Concors a favourite of Lance?

i dunno if they were a favourite of his but ive heard there stupid comfy good enough for me haha !!!

  • I pulled a bike out of a skip today - a crap Falcon 10-speed 70s/80s racer type. I just want the frame for practising brazing - does anyone want any bits off of it before I bin the rest? I've got stem, bars, brakes, levers, front and rear mechs, headset, BB, seatpost, destroyed saddle, cranks and pedals - all free, of course.

  • And £20 for that Brooks... come on, I don't want to put it on ebay.

  • Got a couple more photos of the brooks? What's the width like compared to the B17 and B17N? I only really have experience of a B17N...

What kind of brakes, cranks and pedals it got?

    also interested in the stem.

  • Cranks are 3-bolt, rings are worn. Pedals are cheap alloy rat-traps. Brakes are long-drop centrepulls. Stem is an SR - short length with a tall quill, and presumably standard size.

Steve I'll get some photos of that Brooks, or alternatively I can meet you in town so you can have a look. It's about 16cm wide at the widest point, and 28cm long.

  • Is it cool if i dibs all the bits?

got to sort out some bits for my fiance's bike on the cheap

ill put any bits that dont get used up on here for freecycles.

some one jump down my neck if they want the stuff like.

  • That width sounds like a Team Pro.

  • Yeah of course. The cranks are Sugino Maxy 3-bolt ones so it might be a bit hard to find a new chainring for them (there are some on UK ebay at the moment but from america...!). The centrepulls look like Weinmann ones but they might be copies.

Do you want to meet in town or come by my house off of Humber Road? PM me.

  • That width sounds like a Team Pro.

Perhaps, but it says Champion Standard on it!

  • That should be 17cm, but it depends how the previous owner took care of it :)

  • Last try for this, before I relinquish and put it on eBay.

Charge Plug Freestyler frame, in galvanised. 2010 model in small I believe (not as small as you would think). Comes with:

    Frame & Forks
    Headset
    Stem
    Charge risers and grips
Brakes & levers (no cables really)
    Seatpost & clamp
    Bucket saddle
    Bottom Bracket (relatively smooth still)

All stock charge parts, and all you need to get it running are cranks, wheels, chain, brake cables (if you want brakes of course). I can throw in a brand new 16t sprocket if it helps.

Collection from Earlsdon. Asking £100. For an extra £45, I might be able to supply a silver wheelset as well (rear Surly hub with unknown rim, front off a langster steel. Need to replace bearings in the surly, which I already have, but the old bearing race is stuck in the hub at the moment).

If you're going to ship anyways and put it on eBay why not put it on the regular classifieds? I'm sure someone would go for it. I would have but I just got a scissor frame for my birthday.

  • Does anyone have a solid set of cranks preferably 165mm? I'll be in coventry in the next couple of weeks and I'm in need of cranks. I doubt anyone has what I'm looking for but I've got a charge scissor frame and possibly need some black cranks. I might go all out and get a profile racing set but I'll have to save for those...

Do you have a picture of the frame, what sort of size is the small? Looking for a bike to build up for my girlfriend.

  • Pair o' shoes, anyone? They've only been worn once (with a pre-worn look) about a year ago, and I've still got the box. Size 12. £10? Make me an offer.

    Gola Quota, like so:

  • Do you have a picture of the frame, what sort of size is the small? Looking for a bike to build up for my girlfriend.

Hey. I have the size guide saved on my home PC, so I'll dig that out tonight, but this is a photo of the frame, when it was still a full bike and almost brand new...

It's got some rub marks from brake cables, dropouts and the like, but nothing too serious. No dents or anything :)

  • Also for sale, Planet X high flange track hub - 32h Black. Asking £12.50 collected or £14 posted. Brand new and never laced. It has been in my parts box, wrapped in plastic since I bought it, so in great condition.

  • steve could i dibs that hub and have a look at it mate ?
