Just had a look ... this ain't fun ... basically the ID of the iframe ain't the ID of the ride ...

Not possible I guess, unless we do a request to the page somehow and obtain that iframe ID.

Really? You can use the ID from the first in the second almost interchangably... Lord knows why they are using a different token:

Ah... they create a new token for tracking purposes... to see which sites are providing the traffic.
And using the original token does break something, the elevation view button.
Shall we go with it anyway?

anyway you could tag a url not to be replaced, aka explicitly linked through?

Click the embed/parae tick boxes under your post in advanced edit. They get reset when you edit, though.

That sounds like a neat trick... but don't I put the untouched URL above the embedded map anyway?
