Accumulation of small gains, innit? If the Team GB bikes have 1W less drag at 60km/h than the best commercial frames, they'd probably consider it worth having. I suspect they were further ahead than that with the original Dmitris Katsanis frames, but the commercial brands have probably closed the gap considerably in the ensuing decade.
