Previously had an aluminium hybrid with much fatter tubes and bigger clearances, and the 3000 was perfect. Now got a skinny road bike and the lock is a bit massive for it. I mean it still works fine, but smaller is easier to carry plus I've heard that having loads of room in and around the lock makes it easier to attack.
