Thinking about getting some 28mm tyres for L'Eroica this year - are white tyres (on my '53 Ellis B) just too tarty?

I like to do things on a budget and not take dosh out of the family 'pot'....I was hoping to get a cheap hire car and wild camp out of that with my little bivvy......it also serves as a shed for the bike box I'm going to have to get!

Phew that was a bit stressful! They've taken my money too so I hope I have a place! :)

Stedlocks - no worries about camping, my brother did it last year - he said the camping facilities are fine & the time you head off in the morning you'll not be wanting too much of a trek to the start line
