I agree these look much nicer than the M A cranks....144bcd is seen as the bcd for all things track and fixed.....preferred the original....equally true of Stronglight cranks!

What's weird about 47x17? I run it all the time. Not as good as 47x15 though..

yeah 47 is sweet...loads of skid spots with a 16t cog apparently...?!

found a good article on Sheldon Brown about that somewhere, look it up if you're interested, supposedly even number, lowest denominator ratios are the key.

blimey, wasn't expecting this to be so popular - thought the iro frame would be the one.

says it all really.
52/17 and 52/19 are my faves
Righto, here we have a miche primato silver chainset.
It comes with a 47T ring. Why did i buy 47T? F**k knows, but its slightly more user freindly than 48T and worked very nicely with the equally unusual 17T i had on the back.... weird.
Anyway, the ring is well used but still has loads of life it. The cranks are well used but still very easy on the eye. Simple clean lines, none of this hipster or retro stuff - would look nice on a modern frame, or an old frame.
Looks like this:
Not Primato Advanced (which looks poop).
Photos to follow tonight.
Thanks
