I had a Planet X headset lying about so I just swapped the dustcap of that with the FSA one and this is the result. It gives me about another 7-9mm of drop. I will see what it's like to ride tomorrow.
Now I just have to deal with an ever growing number of spacers. The worst part is the steerer is cut at about 25mm from the top of the stem but is just above the spacers when I use two 10mms and a 5mm so means I have to use a whole 30mm of spacers. Stylish...
Does anyone know why the FSA dustcap is so elongated? Is it purely down to aesthetics / style? It functions as a dustcap and integrated spacer?
