  • Hi, new member here from Norwich (UK), soon to by my first fixed gear, could do with some help. I have my eye on something though!

How many posts til you can create a thread? Thanks

Hi Louis, I'm new to London from Norwich too, knowing Norwich we almost definitely have some mutual friends! welcome to the forum, unfortunately i'm relatively new here too so don't know the answer to your question, but i'm sure you won't be waiting long! Nick

  • Sorry London boys, have to post this just to get my x3 inputs to start my own thread. but while i'm here, what a sodding match at Twickers, you did well but George North was unstoppable .

    What are you selling?

  • Does no-one say 'welcome' any more?

    Welcome, all.

    The answer is 'no'.

if only ppl didnt tease me about grooming ;-)

  • Welcome, Iain.

  • (Don't let them cramp your style.)

  • Hi. Been dipping in here for ages but finally got around to registering. I'm already on yacf. Commute from Blackheath-Trafalgar Square on a tatty brown Langster, with overloaded red panniers. Sometimes have a YACF or Audax top on. Say hi if you see me.

take a look around the site. maybe think about coming along to some events and getting involved in the wider community if you're not too shy.

  • Hello,

    Joined few days back :)
Started my first project on an old De Reus frame, curious how it will end up.

Already got some good information from here,

  • Hey,

Just joined today although i've been reading posts here for a while..
Been riding fixie for about a year now, live in east london and are def up for races and future get togethers!

  • Hey there,
Spent an awful lot of time to create a bike without forks last year, and it works! Turned it into fixed recently and learned to like it :-) When ready i will share some pictures in the appropriate part of the forum.

  • ^current builds or probably warrants its own thread

i look forward to seeing what RodMunch thinks it looks like :)

  • Amazing reception! very worthy of the tread title, thanks!

As newby I cant start a thread until the weekend but here is something to think about...

  • lemonade - good effort for a mere mortal but RodMunch would have found a photo of someone riding a horse with no front legs.

    no forks - curiosity aroused

  • Hai!

My name is Dan and I live in Deptford. I've been lurking for a few weeks now so I thought I'd sign up and say hello.

I ride road bikes and fixed bikes in equal measures and enjoy falling off now and again. My other likes include having my face licked by a South African bodybuilder whilst enjoying a quiet pint in the pub and being punched in the cock by people called Sam.

I ride a Dolan Precursa, a Dolan Carbon Pista, a Pinarello FP2 and a Pompino. I build my own wheels apart from my HED3s which I received in exchange for some magic beans and a potato shaped like a balls.

Feel free to crash into the back of me at traffic lights if you spot me.

I did look for this, but unsurprisingly none were forthcoming when I googled 'horse no legs bucking', 'disabled horse riding', and the like. Unlike Rod Munch, I have not missed my calling as a Fishy Looking Bikes specialist.

  • Howdy,

My real name is Fritz but my username is in use on other (non-Cycling) forums hence why I stuck with it. I am a long term geared bike rider but recently took the plunge and bought a SS/Fixed (flip flop hub) and have enjoyed the transition immensely. I was born and raised in Hammersmith but have lived in many different parts of London over the years, currently based in South Camden (between Euston and Fitzrovia).

  • Welcome, Fritz. Are you trying to get as close to Fritzrovia as you can? ;)
