I'm pretty confident that that isn't an obscene amount of seatpost to have out of the frame. I'm also sure that long stems aren't purely designed for people who have bought frames too small for them. I am not confused in my terminology. I do mean that the geometry will become more aggressive once the bottom part of the cartridge headset is gone.
Smallfurry seems to understand what I'm getting at. I've found a picture of a Vigorelli with an integrated headset inside the headtube on it (or so it appears). This is the 2011 model but I assume they won't have done any tweaking to the design of the headtube in terms of its capability to use an internal headset.
