My name is Edward Berry, I am a Emergency Department Doctor in South Devon and I run a charity called Project Paria with a fellow Doctor, Jonathon Fitzsimon a GP from Somerset. I have been told that you have some interest in running the Brighton marathon for us? We would love you to run for us and are absolutely negotiable on the pledge levels! Here are some details:
1) The charity: We are Project Paria and we're a charity that raises money for a rural Bolivean Community in Paria. It's an extremely poor region and the chairty raises money primarily for a Diabetes clinic that we have set up and run, and paying for underprivaledged but bright Boliveans to attend university (which is a luxury that would otherwise be beyond their means). Our website is www.projectparia.com
2) Marathon: April 15th in Brighton.
3) Registration: Online, takes a few minutes via an online registration portal. The places are provided sports drink company which is sponsoring the marathon and has provided our spaces.
We are asking runners to donate £50 up front to cover the costs of registration, reception after the race (which is the formal race organiser's tent with the possibilty of some running celebrities in attendance), a few race memorabilia pieces and a racing vest (as well as physio/massuese etc!). This can be paid at the charity website (www.projectparia.com) if you put your name (surname preferentially) and 'marathon' in the payment info box, we will pay the money on to the charity place.
4) The pledge: We are asking runners to attempt to raise £500 to our charity. We are currently setting up Project Paria on www.justgiving.com to help with fundraising. We are aware that other charities ask their runners to sign pledge contracts etc to ensure their donations meet the mark. We are a significantly more relaxed and if you are able to reply to this email acknowledging that you are aware of the pledge target and intend to do your best then we would be very happy with that! Please do not be put off by the 500 pound pedge target, we have plenty of places and are very happy to significantly lower our pledges if required!
5) Other runners - If you know any friends who fancy running with us so if you they're keen will you give them my number or email address and ask them to contact me, we've still got places and would love runners.
Finally, thanks very much, we really appreciate your help raising money and your bravery for running it! Let us know if you have any problems training or any questions and we'll do our very best to help!
Yours sincerely,
Ed

Don't worry about formatting, just type in the text and we'll take care of making sense of it. We will auto-convert links, and if you put asterisks around words we will make them bold.
Tips:
Create headers by underlining text with ==== or ----
To *italicise* text put one asterisk each side of the word
To **bold** text put two asterisks each side of the word
Embed images by entering: ![](https://www.google.co.uk/images/srpr/logo4w.png) That's the hard one: exclamation, square brackets and then the URL to the image in brackets.
* Create lists by starting lines with asterisks
1. Create numbered lists by starting lines with a number and a dot
> Quote text by starting lines with >
Mention another user by @username
For syntax highlighting, surround the code block with three backticks:

Just like Github, a blank line must precede a code block.
If you upload more than 5 files we will display all attachments as thumbnails.
