What's the tubing? Guessing Alu 7005...
Any distinguishing features as to its Alan provenance? I.e. frame no etc.
-
• #3
yerp from what I can see on their website it's most likely 7005, although I can't be sure TBH.
Serial number on the bottom of the BB is 49X55, also there's the hole above the dropouts (3rd flick) which I afaik is a distinguishing feature

Ah mate I'm gutted you're not shifting this. If I was a couple of cm taller I'd be all over it.

I reckon if you gave it a good polish it would sell... Not as much effort as everyone makes out, I got my frame to a very high polish in about 2 1/2 hours by a combination of wetsanding, polishing compound with a drill buffer, cromosol with a drill buffer, buff with a clean cloth, cromosol with a cloth, and buff again....

Cheers for the suggestions, appreciated.
It's free listing on 'bay this weekend so I'll probably stick it up there for a while, I'll be polishing it up though so will post pix&updates!

now on ebay, again.
If anyone would like to take it for the asking price, I'll throw in some other little bits and bobs with it (chain, bars, stems ect)

Decided I'm going to close this thread, make a new one and offer it as near enough a full bike!
-
• #21
damn, really fancy this, perfect size too. bad time for me though cash wise gggrrrrrr
Sup ladies and gentlemen of the LFGSS community,
Swapped another bike for this a while back, but tbh it's a little bit too small for me and thus I haven't been riding it very much. The original owner is on here somewhere.
Anyway,
Alan Track Frame, 54/TT, 56/ST
Alpina Carbon Forks, 1"
BBB headset
Shimano UN-somethingorother BB
It's a cracking frame, uber reactive, in excellent condition. No scratches, dents, chips ect on frame,
I'm really not that sure on pricing it, as I've never seen an alan track before and that's with me perving on bike websites for the past few years...So, we'll start at £220, shipped to your door. And if I'm being a dick with that price, shout out at me, srsly!
Also, I have the majority of the parts to build it up to a full bike, incl quando/miche wheels, chain, ect. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you a decent figure
