can anyone reccomend a decent quality dual ratio for 1/8 chain?
There are a couple of threads on gear inches etc. To get a couple of gears without switching chains within the limits of the dropouts/trackends is the name of the game.
For example 48x17/19 works for me with x number of links in a chain.
...the one pictured above is a Surly Dingle designed for 3/32
It's designed for 3/32 because that's a chain that can best deals with a non-straight chainline.
