You think Steve Peat's race bike isn't going to be a bit individual?
I have to take issue with this: off a rack? from a catalogue? That's a bespoke race bike for one of the best downhill MTBers in the world. It represents the best bike tech money can buy, and although long travel full-sussers have an aesthetic all of their own, that is the best I have ever seen. I love the carbon-swoopy lines on it too.
I'd be very impressed if you could walk into Evans and pick that off an rack
Hmmm, maybe it is special and individual but to me it just looks like any other bouncy bike.
Probably because I don't really know what I'm looking at.
PS. If Steve Peat is so good how come everytime I've been to the World Cup at Fort William he's done so poorly?

It's not the course for him. There's such a variation in styles that certain people suit certain courses.

ti Merckx. Yum
Every time I see that S-Works concept bike I hate it even more. If that's the way bikes are going then I'm out

Let down by the tri bars; I'd be surprised if the owner can use them.

Every time somebody calls that an S-Works Concept, I have to remind you all that it's a Specialized employee's gag bike.

I see so many people with their tribars pointing down. Apart from making then difficult to use it's against regs iirc. But then I don't suppose the owner of that bike races.

But yes, banned by both UCI and CTT -

A little surprising that I see to many as they often ride large events, do they not have bike checks or are commissars too scared to enforce the rues

This belonged to my mate Dan, who did indeed post it to Germany. Funny, we were reminiscing about it just t'other day. Here's the build he had...i never did agree with his decision to build it with all those red parts, and i'm sure many here will agree. That said though, an amazing frame, and incredible clearances. Columbux Max as well if i remember rightly. Hopefully it looks better now.

I agree with the red tyres but its a better job than the pendle

• #60468

This is very nice

Too bad, the gazelle frame is so nice, had it as my screensaver. But build up like that is just overkill. The seatpost, bar setup, golden hubs.. makes me sad.
