Sounds good.
How do we ensure the court for this? self styled signage cable tied high up to avoid sabotage (big font obvs) or take it further up the ladder... to... the... ccccccccouncil?!!!!? (for a stamp of serious)

"It's like incest, everybody's somebody's cousin - but there ain't no freaks coz there's nobody loving."
Ditto on the not swearing at children bit; we don't want this court to end the same way Elswick did.
I can play from 12noon this Sunday.
What happened at Elswick?

Don't ask.

Don't ask.
The only thing saying that will do is make me want to know more. . .

Not as exciting as it sounds Andy. We just never went back there 'cos of the feral yoots making it tricky to play polo there. I think Lewk was alluding to the fact that we don't wanna upset the locals at the new place and find ourselves in the same position there....
That is all

Alright Sanders, don't see you round these parts very often these days. You up in Edinburgh? Hope you're keeping well.
On the Scottish note, Colin has proposed we do SHIT 3 on the 17th March instead of the grass tournament. What does everyone say? Not long to get sorted but there's not a huge amount to do. All in favour say Aye.
-
• #2192
Aye, provisionally. Any more details, Matt?

Afraid not John. I can see it being difficult to organise two or three teams each from Edinburgh and Glasgow + Aberdeen/anyone else in that timescale. It's only really going to work if everyone here is on board and we can formally invite people this week. Also I'm on holiday next week.
I think we probably need six of;
Me
John
Tristan
Ol
Luke
Ed
Nige
Steve
Liam?!Let us know in the next day or so guys and we'll see what we can do.
This would be a pretty informal one day event so I can't see accommodation being an issue unless people want to stay over and get on the beers afterwards.
In terms of the court and goals we should be pretty much fine. We can fill the couple of odd gaps where we know the ball goes out. We can speak to the council if it's a goer. I suspect they will say it's a non-bookable court but worth asking.
There are enough people from the three main cities who have been to tournaments to soak up the refereeing duties. (+ Luke has an encyclopedic knowledge of the rules!)
The format would depend on number of entrees but with a small number we would be able to give everyone lots of court time. -

I'm playing tomorrow then away Saturday for a week so going to miss planning. We can talk about it the morrow then if it's a goer, I'm sure Colin will be happy to help spread the word amongst his brethren.
Yeah, forgot about the Edinburgh boozing tourney - April probs more realistic. I was thinking same as Luke. It's our turn to organise S.H.I.T 3. Pick a weekend here first then ask if other people can do it. April 14/15th then?
