I know a bloke in Peckham if that's any good for you? He's a mechanic who takes it to an MOT tester he knows very well 50 notes all in. Basically if the car is shot or unsafe forget it but if it's got a few advisories that are just niggly things (that a lot of MOT 'jobsworth' testers would probably still fail you on) then he'll wave you through.
