Norwood Road has been closed between Croxted Road and Rosendale Road since 16:00.
Without going into details, the road is likely to be closed for a good deal longer.
The police on the scene have confirm that a pedestrian was involved and described that person as a small child. no further information is available.
Every positive thought that I can muster is currently with that child and their family.
