Will most definitely do a cardboard mock up (but am away on holiday now so will be a week or so).
The two trusses are currently there with the idea of drilling 2 holes and putting cable ties through, round the stays for extra rigidity. I should have included the holes for clarity. I'm not sure if they're even necessary so will certainly take them out if not.
They currently protrude 10mm.
Brickman said he can bend the metal but I guess it depends to what degree.
The problem is going to be getting round the calliper which I am keen to do, as it really does make sense to protect this also. The distance is 45mm and as you said, not a lot of room to do this.
It'll definitely need a lot more work, unless indeed someone does a 'generic'.
