  • ahh makes me think of that ussr tank of a frame i have right now, I've been fitting a bb and dropped a massive monkey wrench onto the top tube (was upside down) and not a dent or scratch.

  • I would say very lucky.

I'm not sure if you know it, but it's been sand blasted and clear coated by Armourtex after my failed attempt. I prefer my finish, you saw the pics of it looking different, but lacquer i used started peeling of one week after spraying it, before it was even build up. I've tried to do it myself and failed, but had a good time doing it.

  • nah man im not touching the finish :P

  • Great frame.

  • In my yoot I used to watch the good Mr Russell working his metal magic in his shop in Chalvey whilst blagging cups of tea. He was a proper geezer.

  • ahhh cool, where abouts?

  • Wheels arrived, just need some tubs.

Sorry for massive images, need to learn how to resize
They run even smoother and longer than the DA hubs
    sooo shineeyyyy

  • are you now selling the DA-set?

  • ^^Out of curiosity, are those ProMax the NJS ones? I have those hubs but mine are the non-certified model, and I can't believe yours are the same as mine if they compare so well against the DA.

  • ahhh cool, where abouts?

Chalvey in Slough, he had a real old fashioned red painted shopfront . Inside was a cornucopia of bikes and bits.
    Fond memories.

  • are you now selling the DA-set?

    No

    Yes they are.

  • Now all I need is a nitto silver seatpost and im sorted, anyone want to trade for the syncros? its too short for me

  • What size is that seatpost? I dont have anything for you but i may take it if it fits mine

  • hmmm syncos, i wouldn't mind it

not really worth a nitto though

  • Ben, I've got nitto 83 if you need one.

  • It's pretty much 2,3 cm longer than in the photo, can you pm me doc as I'm out and about.
P.s. I'm want to go for a full jap build by may 12th when its the dulwich vs stpaiuls track comp

  • ^ ...and it's my birthday same day!

got few different nitto stems if intrested. Will pm later.

  • That's a pretty bike. I'd remove the stickers from the rims and add some black cloth tape if it was mine.

  • Set up for Herne Hill tomorrow, thanks to all those who responded quickly to provide the parts I needed.

All I need now is a nice Nitto Jag seatpost or silver thomson elite

  • ^Nitto only.

Nice ride. Good luck with HH.

  • Lovely man, all i can say is can you please rotate the chainring clockwise one bolt, it then lines up nicely with the cranks (the zen logo i mean) and looks niccee, probably a bit ocd for most, but it looks nicer i think

I have a silver thomson elite in 27.0 x 400, let me know if you are interested

  • it takes 27.2 seat post.

  • he's got a seat post now anyway, hence the 30mm saddle hunt.

  • Kashimax is what you'll have to go for for a 30mm saddle, it'll be expensive new though, NJS innit
