Potentially out of sight, out of mind. You don't want vehicle turning into you, whilst you're in/on the mouth of a junction.
This scenario shouldn't occur though. As traffic moves off, make eye contact (or other preferred communication) with next car back, then move out into that space behind the car that was alongside and the next one back. If the car that was to right whilst waiting then turns left, no worries as now riding behind it so can either slow up or overtake.
