The Mitchell library in Glasgow has a huge archive of mugshots from the 19th century. Really fascinating stuff. In the ones I've seen the men all had to hold their hands up so that any missing fingers could be seen.

The guy is a mate of mine. He shoots with an EOS 5d Mk II, just trying to find out what lens. I know it'll be an L series macro though...

for that fly shot, I used the canon 65 MP-E f2.8 and a single 200w bowens flash unit. light is vital with this particular lens I'm afraid. I believe tonsers finding this the case too.
