Yes I'm running CM7 - Not sure what you mean regarding bloatware, when I rooted it it seems pretty minimal.
battery is now down to 89% took it off charge at 7am this morning, thinking of installing an additional kernal for the battery life, which should make a difference.
The first thing I'd personally do, is make a backup using CWM before attempting anything else. Beyond that, install titanium backup pro (worth the small fee), backup your apps and then freeze the ones you havent/don't use. It's quite noticeable how your battery life will improve doing this. Also, quite randomly, turning your phone off and removing the battery for a few minutes can also help to force close some background processes which tend to run after a custom rom reboot.
