Humm, it looks like those guidelines are a couple of centimetres or sosmaller than is normally recommended (eg: Bike Sizing | Help | Evans Cycles).
I believe (although I'm no expert) that the one I linked to will be better cos you can put into the calculator on the right lots of different measurements, not just your height. If you want to buy a bike online and can't try it out, go to your local bike shop and try out bikes there to see what size you like.
And remember bikes with sloping top tubes have different sizing!
