there are few exclusives these days, and the ones that d oexist there are decent alternatives/
eg:
Xbox v PS3
Forza - gt5 ('realistic' racing games)
Halo - Killzone (FPS that isnt CoD/ BF)
Gears of War - God of War (not exactly comprable but meh)
If you have a lot of gaming mates then get what they have.
I have a ps3 and rarely find i wish i had an xbox (apart from a few buddies on the dark side)
As for stores, be warned Game are on the verge of going titsup (i imagine gamestation will go with them)
Currys/ comet/ PC World sell, but not exactly good deals.
Supermarkets do ok bundles, and are cheaper (generally) for games.
Amazon also do deals, but obvo they are online.
