Interested - but are they for Shimano or Campag cassettes?
-
• #3
Why so cheap? Also would be interested if Shimano fitting...
-

Good question, sorry to omit - they are indeed Shimano fit.
They are old shop stock, so about a year old. Hence they are very cheap.
There's nothing wrong with them at all. Brake track confirms they are unused, so does freehub. No tyres ever mounted, no cassette ever mounted, only hung up on a hook. There is the odd little, tiny nick/ mark from being on display, and they are of course not boxed, but nothing of any note - I mention to differentiate from wheels straight out of the box. You'll need to buy valve stems for tubeless if you wish to run them as tubeless (£12 a set I think). They are factory true of course.

Perfect. Can you get some pics up, not that I don't trust you just want to see them... Ta

Nice - and a massive bargain. But Shimano means I'm out. Cheers anyway.

No worries - I'm not back home til late this evening, so can try to post pics then. They will of course look like new and unused, because they are new and unused! You can also view this weekend, London NW2 4SE, nearest tube Kilburn Jubilee line. If the weather is nice I shall be cycling out to Hertford, so best to call first. 07828 170250. Nick

They are not black I'm sorry Pistoffski. They are silver and white with black spokes and nipples, and DT Swiss red & black detailing.

All photos now added, details eg Shimano Freehub added, and will reduce the price to £420 - firm. Pretty good deal for a £800-£850 wheelset (£900 RRP), considering it is new and unused.

Nick these are a fantastic deal, but after a bit of consideration I think they won't fit my new build. Someone else grab a bargain!

Must not buy any more wheels. Must not buy any more wheels. Must not....
But you know it'll be good for the soul, good for the body, good for the lower back and hands :-) (esp. if you choose to run tubeless on these), AND you'll have next to no depreciation if you ever choose to sell them on at the price these are offered out at...what's there not to like?

These would go so well with the bit of Ti. that's sitting in the workstand.
Booger.
So what's the story with these then Nick?

Hi Howard - Bought them as ex display stock, fell in love, but since already have 7900 C24s, thinking that maybe all season trainers more sensible than another performance orientated set..You have a bit of Ti. I have a bit of Cr (853, Foco).

Tubeless ready wheel set Shimano 9/10 speed freehub, so no rim tape required. New & unused, never mounted, pair in white with black spokes. Open crows foot spoking which is a good balance between stiffness and torque. 24 spoked rear and 18 front. Dt Swiss Modified 240s hubs.
Bit of a bargain as RRP £900 and usually circa £800 retail. London NW2 pickup for £430. 0203 589 8437
