been wanting to start a geared project for ages, but just kept making excuses/adapting my brooklyn build.
the time has come to build this frame up properly. it has been everything from a singlespeed shopper build, fixed beater to a polo bike.
so here it is, warts and all -
the emphasis for this is going to be second hand everything. i know absolutely fuck all about gears, brakes etc, so would appreciate lots of input from you experienced folk.
i guess the first big question is, what parts are period correct for this?
please don't suggest anything tan or leather. too grim.
and - shimano or campagnolo?
im willing to commit a decent amount of money into this, but obviously nothing along the lines of dura ace/sram red/super record. at least not the modern stuff anyway, too pricey...
