£10 a player is not a lot of money.
+1! Costs soon mount up when hosting a tourney. I'd have paid that to be a spectator at some of the tourneys last year (especially the LO)! As far as I am aware, organisers don't make any profit when screwing a tourney together. We didn't quite break even from the Bristol Open 2011. Anyone who thinks £10 is too much should do a breakdown of costs associated with organising such and event. Then work out how many (unpaid) hours go into it. Next, go down the pub for 2-3 pints and work out how much that cost and how long it took. That should put things into perspective.
