There have been exhibition races of "Girl's Keirin" since 2008 and they're bringing back a women's Keirin league this summer.
I guess they get coloured spoks and discs
for the exhibition racesbecause they're using UCI rules as it's supposed to be helping women's track cycling in Japan, partly in preparation for the Olympics. And because it looks awesome.
