I remember hitting a pheasant on the A1, at about, erm, a lot.
Didn't see it come out the back, so pulled over in next good place.
No sign of the rest of the pheasant, but its eyeball was stuck to number plate beautifully. Guess I hit it so hard the eyeball contact adhered itself, and the rest of the bird exploded?
They got their revenge though, a few years later, one flew up and took out windscreen, throwing the mirror right at my face, and bent the roof enough that the windscreen place tried to refuse to work on it (i.e. roof fucked = right off).
phucking pheasants.
