Running a 42 chainring with a 16 and a 13 sprocket, flip flop hub
Usual disclaimer, can't find this elsewhere, can remove if it does exist somewhere else.
I want to run a road gear and a track gear on the flip and flop of a Halo hub. 42:16 for road, and 42:13 for track.
Assuming there's enough room in the dropouts to counter the chain length variation between these two sprockets, does anyone know if the chainline will be unrideable with such a big variation? I think Sheldon's site reckons on 3mm per tooth, so this would be 12mm.
Sounds too big a gap, but is anyone running a similar difference? It's a sugino messenger crankset, dura ace sprockets, halo hub, dolan precursa frame / dropouts.
