I wore a pair of poorly designed trousers a few weeks ago. They felt baggy enough to ride but the crotch was all wrong which meant riding home 3 times more difficult than it should have been. My quads were incredibly sore for about 3 or 4 days afterwards.

I made do with sprinting out of the saddle, and then coasting for as long as possible whilst sort of bike dancing- standing on the pedals (freewheel) and trying to shake things down, as it were.
