Visp frames

  • I came from riding steel frames, so i was pretty worried about the difference in ride quality, to be honest this harsheness that people talk about is nonsense! You do notice a difference, but it's minimal. The 999 looks sick, but i was on tight budget and got the 790 from the aussi ebay cause it was 57 notes, I got a 43mm rake carbon fork to compliment it and it's a nice responsive ride!

Ahh I see. I'm still on a steel atm but thinking to have another build since it's Chinese New year and I get moneys :D think I'm gonna get the 999 just cos I know I'll be more happy with it :) thanks for response!

  • Hey YellowJxC - I bought a trx999 in November and didn't get caught with the nasty customs charge. Bit of a risk but luckily paid off. I believe the seller (cycoole) marked the package as a gift. Having a lot of fun on what's turned out to be a fairly cheap build!

  • Had mine for 6 months, while waiting for another ride. Worked perfect, but i recommend getting the fork changed. I saved 400 grams getting it switched for a carbon one.

  • Which fork did you go for tommie? Looking to get a full carbon fork for mine but undecided as to what to go for

  • ^if you're interested I have an unused set of Guess carbon forks with alu steerer. Exactly the same as this

uncut steerer and all, for £30.

  • Winter VISPing.

  • Can someone measure the length from center of head tube to center seat tube on 64ct size?

  • For some reason I do like the black wintervisp!

  • Actually mr.Pocky (guy who bought a road VISP here in Finland) fucked up the with the customs first because he had wrong TARIC code, but at the end he had to just pay 23% taxes and 4,7% customsfee with the right TARIC code, so I think it is still reasonable priced, about bit over 200€ in the end.
Pocky told that because VISPs are made in Taiwan, not in China and the sanction doesn't affect for the items (like VISPs) which are manufactured in Taiwan.

...btw, I ordered a TRAPP after all :D damn its ugly, also waiting for carbon fork for it.. I was bit suprised that my order didn't go through customs, so I didn't need to pay any customs fees or taxes for it, had same scenario with my old frame back in 2010.

    Hello!
I am interest in this frame.
Could you give us a litte review about your TRAPP(visp) frame?
Is it ok? What ir about quality & stuff?
    Thank you!

What's not to like! Other than the chain...

I went for the cheap one at ebay, just named 'Full carbon 3K'. 45 mm rake / carbon steerer / 370 grams for 70 usd, shipping included. Seems like the seller i bought from is far gone by now thou'.

Think it has it one their ebay listings? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Road-frame-and-forkC-C45-48-51-54CM-C-T-55-58-61-64CM-VISP-WINDWING-/280749369239?pt=AU_Sport_Cycling_Frames&hash=item415df76797

  • Winter VISPing.

    Thats a great winter build!
What size tyres are they? Look bigger than I would have thought would fit it.

  • Posting Visp's to the Netherlands is really expensive :O could there be another solution?

  • ![](Also, anyone bought one of these yet?

+1, looks nice to me without that shitty decals

  • Anyone know where to buy this frame from?

It's not being sold by mycycoole and although its tagged as a Visp I cant find it anywhere.

Ah, found it. Shipped for £154, appears seller is in Australia so just need to find out about shipping situation as dont want to get stung for import vat etc.

  • Don't think they sell that one anymore. They'll all pretty much the same though. Shame they don't do proper sized one (60cm) as I might get one.

  • they do 59, don't make a problem out of that 1 cm.

  • I'd be after the 56 so im all good :)
Think most have bought from mycycoole on ebay. nutsjesmoar yeh I dont think its a Visp and from the reviews it seams that mycycoole marks his as "gift" so to avoid the vat charges. Not so sure the Aus seller will do the same but have sent a message to them and will update.

  • For some reason shiping to netherlands costs loads of money..

  • the white one above is just a visp isn't it? different dropouts to the one on aus ebay and much tighter clearance
