  • It all started with the frame set which i bought from a friend in 2009, after an email conversation with gazelle.nl, it turned out the frame & fork were made in 1974.

    The frame was in a bad condition, a lot of the paint was gone (2 layers, it already got over painted by a previous owner,rust and to top it of, one of the chain stays was tweaked and the decals where wrong (newer type).

    So i brought the frame to a Berlin based bicycle repair shop and for 25 Euro, the frame was made straight and true again.

    After that i went to a established old timer Restoration shop where the frame was repainted in green-metallic DAF color way.

    First build up with adjustable stem in 2010 (some French parts):

    2011 (most French parts where replaced by Italian parts like the Cinelli combo):

    2012 Except for the rims (which should be Nisis)and the SR seat post (should be NR) it is now build up like it was offered in the original Gazelle product catalog from 1974/75:
