To be honest my yearly process is I toy with the idea of spiked winter tires - think nah too expensive for a weeks riding, then catch the tube for 4 days until the UK "winter" dissapears.
Would never ride this set up in ice or snow. Rain is fine and hail is ok. It's my winter bike because winters are just wet and minging now and my summer bike is white and a bitch to clean. Just wanted a build that didn't look like shit after a wet or post rain ride. Vanity meets laziness.

Riding brakeless fixed, if something goes wrong you can slide/drift/maneouver the bike in another direction at short notice to avoid it
What if that something going wrong is a snapped chain?

What about when a taxi hits you? And then when the plod find out you have an illegal bike on the road the taxi driver will be making you pay for the dent in his cab to be fixed.

That is lucky
off to search the internet..........
Couldn't view the video as I'm at work, so wasn't quite sure what it showed...
Ok I accept that it's your choice, but one final question that bewilderes me is, as your winter bike, how will you slow down if it's icy?
