I bent up the top and downtubes of a frame in the summer in the exact same way. After looking into the costs, I came to the same conclusion - I freecycled it and another forumenger is undertaking a restoration. The "disturbance in the force" is thus rectified.
I guess it really depends on how much you love her. It's Feb 14. How much do you love her?
