High Tensile 1024 tubing

  • Does anybody know anything about high tensile 1024 tubing?

  • High tensile tubing is weaker than chomoly/531 so the tube makers have to make the tubing wall thicker to give the frame sufficient strength/stiffness. Because of the greater wall thickness it tends to be quite heavy, but on the other hand, it's also more dent-resistant than a thin-walled tube. Great for a beater or pub-bike.

  • Great, thanks for the info!
