Ok I'm not trying to second guess here, but I should point out you and jono were threatening to give up reffing over the thread on that other place. That does suggest a certain emotional attachment to the way you view the rules doesn't it?

We weren't threatening to do anything, what we said was that we weren't confident that we understood what was going on with the rules & reffing and therefore didn't feel that we were able to ref effectively. There was also some issues with player behaviour which made it more difficult for me personally. I'm not emotionally attached to any one rule or interpretation over another - I didn't write any of the rules - but if players are being abusive, it's difficult not get upset, so in that sense there is some emotion involved.
