I'm in the process of having mine lasered off, just 3 small / medium size tats all on my upper right arm. They're about 20 years old so have faded quite a bit, which helps make them easier to laser effectively. I've thought about getting a cover-up done but if I'm totally honest with myself they were a mistake in the first place so getting a cover-up would be to cover a mistake even if it's a much better tattoo. Therefore if I can remove them completely (and lasers are pretty amazing these days) then why not.
