• I have an open sport to ambrosio zenith (campag) rear wheel that has done less than 500 miles - unfortunately I have managed to ding the rim in a pothole so no matter how many times I re-true it, it goes out within 60k and is pretty exciting/annoyinng for the last part of a 100k ride.

The hub is still completely fine and it seems like a waste to throw away something that is worth £55.

I've not been that impressed with the open sports and PX have a nice deal on dt 465's. My question is if I asked a wheel builder to switch one rim for the other, would they have to use new spokes/nipples etc? (I know they would probably have to cut them as the ERD's would be different - 606 for the Mavics and 599mm for the dt's)

Am I mad or shall I just buy another open sport rim (only £20 on CRC) and get my lbs to switch them around?
