Still having problems uploading jpeg images. Help!!! When I upload jpegs I just end up with a clickable thumbnail. I tried clicking in preview, copying and pasting expanded image but end up with a huge image which is then rejected when posted. What is the optimum size for re-sized images please?

meant to say... just like chris gee above, I end up with a link instead of an image + the thumbnail.

Try around 800x600, that should work fine.
You seem to be doing this correctly:
Try clicking on the thumbnail so that it comes up large in your browser window, then select it, copy it, and paste it into the message you want to compose.
(It's not a huge disaster if you end up with 'just' a link, by the way. It means that people have to click that, but the huge image doesn't load automatically, which is obviously why they were replaced by links in the first place.)
