I love that house, it's so clever. The railway side is specially angled to deflect the noise of the railway and the sandbags (as you'd expect) provide both conventional insulation but also sound insulation. The really clever bit is that they are filled with a special concrete mixture, so the fabric bags will rot away over time leaving a textured concrete wall.
On the pre-tag debate, the exceptions prove the rule to me. We need occasional naughtyness because it can be amusing, but it also sets the framework for what is acceptable.
SRBradley your photos are fine, they're pretty sharp for phone photos and crucially it's not dark!
