Royce was established in 1980 by Cliff Polton a Precision Engineer, cycle and pedal car enthusiast. Royce is one of the last traditional British manufacturing industries left in the South of England. It has a small workforce of four engineers, designing and testing these top quality, unique cycle components.
Royce components are used by famous cyclists:-
Chris Boardman - Gold at the Barcelona Olympic Games 1992, with the Lotus bike, Royce designed and manufactured the Bottom Bracket Axle. For his record breaking Athletes Hour Record at the Manchester Veldrome in October 2000, Royce designed and manufactured the Track Hubs and Stealth Nipples.
Stuart Dangerfield, Sean Yates used Royce components and Nicole Cooke had special Bottom Bracket Shells and Axles for her Gold Medal Junior UCI wins.
