Are you able to attach zips to stuff?

Wouldn't mind a laptop sleeve in a similar vein to your iPad case, but wondering on the practicality of sliding a leather sheath over 13 inches of aluminium..

i got plans for a sleeve / document wallet with a flap. a bit like the purses but bigger :)
